A striking pair of original Slack I floor lamps designed by Dutch architect and designer Mart van Schijndel for Martech in 1979. These iconic sculptural uplighters exemplify the bold geometric language of late-1970s Dutch design, transforming folded sheet steel into a functional piece of architecture. The model is widely regarded as one of Van Schijndel’s most recognizable lighting designs and was produced by his own company, Martech.

Standing an impressive 186 cm high, the lamps create a powerful architectural presence while remaining visually light through their elegant folded form. The sharply angled central plane appears to twist upward beneath the floating rectangular head, producing dramatic lines and subtle shifts in light and shadow from every viewpoint.

Finished in white lacquered steel, these lamps function as uplighters, casting a warm ambient glow that emphasizes both the sculptural form of the lamp and the surrounding architecture.

In good vintage condition with signs according age. Some small damages (swipe through photos), the scratch is on the back of the lamp.
